Reclaiming Narratives Through Art: A Conversation with Black Artists
The African Leadership Centre (ALC) invites you to our second student-led event of the year commemorating Black History Month at King’s College London on Friday, 25 October 2024, at 18:00 - 20:00 BST/ 20:00 - 22:00 EAT.
This event seeks to honour Black artists in the UK by creating a platform for them to showcase their work and engage with King’s College students and faculty. By facilitating conversations among these artists, we aim to illuminate their distinct challenges and achievements, fostering a deeper understanding of how their personal experiences influence their art and narratives.

Event Objectives
Provide a platform for emerging and established Black artists to share their personal stories and the impact of their work on shaping Black narratives.
Explore the intersections of leadership, peacebuilding, and the creative process, demonstrating art's potential to drive social change.
Offer attendees the opportunity to engage with artists, ask questions, and gain insights into their creative processes.
