Dr Albert Mbiatem

Postdoctoral Fellow

Albert Mbiatem is a postdoctoral fellow of the Peter Da Costa Postdoctoral Fellowship at the African Leadership Centre (ALC) and a senior lecturer in the department of International Relations and Conflict Resolution at the University of Buea. He is equally the chair of the Board of Trustees at People Earthwise. Albert holds a PhD in Political Science, a Master of Science in Security, Leadership and Society and a Master of Science in Political Science. He co-authored a book titled: Whose Peace Are We Building? Leadership for Peace in Africa. Albert’s two most recent journal articles are: “Combating Terrorism in the Sahel Region: The Need to Apply Hard and Soft Powers in Context” and “State Legitimacy and the Anglophone Conflict in Cameroon”. Several journal and blog articles are equally part of his publications. His main areas of research and specialisation are: Leadership, Security, Peace and Mediation.
