Ms Fatou Bintou Sallah was called to The Gambian Bar in 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of The Gambia. During her undergraduate years, she served in many leadership positions and did internships with the Institute for Human Rights and Development in Africa, African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies, The Gambian Ministry of Justice and a private law firm. She has also served as Assistant Secretary General of “Think Young Women”, a young women’s organization which works in promoting young women’s empowerment and reinforcing interventions in the fight against Sexual & Gender Based Violence through advocacy and trainings. She was also a 2015 YALI RLC Fellow.
Fatou currently serves as a First Class Magistrate in the Judiciary of The Gambia.
