Ms Awah Leonide is a trained Supreme Court advocate from Cameroon who has over the past 6 years been working for Peace and Justice in Africa through research and policy Advocacy. She has previously earned a Bachelors degree in Law from the University of Buea and a masters degree in law from the University of Yaounde II in Cameroon. Her thesis focused on The protection of Human Rights under the Harmonised criminal procedure code of Cameroon
Since graduating in 2009, Leonide has worked in various capacities in the legal field : first with Amity Law firm and then HPS consulting in Yaounde Cameroon. Prior to joining the fellowship she worked as a Research Assistant at the African leadership centre where she worked on a wide range of projects including a mapping study of the conflict terrain in Africa.
