Eric Blanco Niyitunga holds a Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflict Transformation with First Class Honors (Magna Cum Laude) from Daystar University, Kenya. He is trained as a Peacebuilding practitioner and Researcher, as a peer counselor, and grass root mobilizer and mediator.
He currently works for Daystar University, Kenya as a part-timer graduate researcher and tutor in the Peace and International Studies Department.
He was an international rapporteur in the 2nd Eastern Africa Youth Conference in Kampala Uganda, a youth workshop sponsored by the Initiatives of Change. This workshop was mainly focused on; Good Governance, Building Sustainable peace and Conflict Transformation.
He is also trained in African Visionary Leadership by the Ahfad University for Women (Regional Institute of Gender, Diversity, Peace and Rights), Sudan and African Leadership Centre King’s College London.
He worked as a volunteer for PISTRAP (Partners in Strategic Peacebuilding) in the areas of Strategic Peacebuilding, Human Security, and Gender and Human Development. He also worked as an intern for AMAWE (Agenda for Men and Women of Excellence) in the area of mobilizing women to take part in the Leadership.
