Abimbola Opanike Timmy holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in International Relations from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She has also defended a Master of Science (M.Sc.) thesis in International Relations from the same institution in 2014. Presently, her articles are under rigorous peer-review in international reputable journals. These include ‘Boko Haram Insurgency in North-Eastern Nigeria and Its Implications for Security and Stability in West African Sub-Region’ (under peer-review in the International Journal: Stability of Security and Development, London, United Kingdom); ‘ECOWAS Protocol on Free Movement and Trans-Border Security in West Africa’ (under peer-review in the Central European Journal of International and Security Studies (CEJISS), Prague, Czech Republic); ‘Africa’s Underdevelopment: Re-Thinking Pan-Africanism’ (Forthcoming); and ‘Civilian Intervention on Counter-Terrorism Operations in the North-Eastern Nigeria: The Realities of Future Perils’ (Forthcoming). While on her MSc Programme, she worked as a research assistant to Professor W. Alade Fawole of the department of International Relations, Obafemi Awolowo Univeristy.
